Record-breaking performance: Spica Technology achieves historic growth in 2023
SILKEBORG – At Spica Technology, your leading provider of electronic components for the wind turbine industry, we have achieved a remarkable growth – the greatest ever in our now 26 years of existence. Following a recent 50% increase in revenue and a doubling of profits, we have moved into new, larger facilities, marking a significant milestone.
Benny Thomsen, the CEO of Spica Technology, expressed his satisfaction with our performance.
2023 has been a monumental year for us, despite the general challenges in the wind turbine industry.
2023 was a landmark year for Spica Technology, as it secured several large projects in offshore wind, reflecting the strong international demand for our high-quality electronic components.
Our business may operate out of Silkeborg, but our reach is global. Whether we ship to Hamburg, Hanoi, or Hanstholm, our focus remains on quality and reliability.
The relocation to a new headquarters has doubled the operational space, paving the way for further growth and efficiency. We have also managed to increase our team Spica, as we have hired a chef to manage the new canteen, enhancing employee welfare as well as a sales trainee to help us further our sales practices.
Looking forward, Benny Thomsen is optimistic about continuing healthy growth with plans to maintain double-digit growth rates through 2026.
With our enhanced facilities and growing team, we are more ready than ever to take on bigger projects and expand our partnerships.
This ambitious path is already manifesting, as Spica Technology’s performance in the first quarter of 2024 has already surpassed the previous years by 26%.
